May saw the arrival, installation and commissioning of our first Electric Discharge Wire Cut Machine (EDM). The machine is a Sodick VL600QH from Japan and is one of the few if not the only one of its kind north of Brisbane.
This machine is a wire cut machine and can achieve incredible accuracy and surface finish. It is new technology for us, but our research has shown that there is a wide range of work that we will now be able to do that we did not have the capability for previously.
